Praised for his commanding stage presence and richly expressive voice, Evan Stark is a Cavalier baritone whose artistry bridges the lyrical elegance of Italian tradition with the dramatic intensity of the Germanic repertoire. Originally from Dallas, Texas, he has already established himself in a wide range of operatic roles across the classical canon.
His repertoire includes Mozart favorites such as the title role in Don Giovanni, Il Conte di Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, as well as Belcore in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen, and Tarquinius in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia. Equally at home on the concert stage, he has appeared in recital and sacred works, showcasing his versatility and keen musicality.
Evan earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in vocal performance, studying with many distinguished teachers and coaches. He has also served in a student faculty position in opera studies, bringing his knowledge and passion to the next generation of singers.
With a voice described as “noble and dynamic,” Stark continues to expand his international career, bringing depth and vitality to both classic and contemporary repertoire. As a devout Catholic, Evan approaches each performance with a spirit of dedication and reverence for the divine power of song, aiming to uplift the souls of his audience to a transcendence of peace and higher truth beyond the stage.
